About me

I am an EFS-ESSM-certified psychosexologist, clinical psychologist and PhD-trained sexologist, with more than 20 years of experience in sex counselling, sex therapy and couples counselling. As an internationally active sexuality researcher, I have published more than 150 scientific studies and professional publications and am considered one of the leading experts in my field.

I founded my first private practice for sex therapy in London. Over the course of my international career, I have also worked in Portugal, Finland and New Zealand. Before returning to Switzerland in 2019, I worked in Hamburg with renowned urologists and gynaecologists at a multidisciplinary centre specialising in sexual medicine.

In 2020, I founded the Institute for Sex Counselling and Sexual Sciences (ISCSS) in Zurich – a centre of expertise bringing together a broad range of counselling, therapy and continuing education services relating to sexuality.

Alongside my clinical work, I teach at various international universities and higher education institutions. I also advise pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organisations and give lectures and workshops on sexuality-related topics both in Switzerland and internationally.

A particular focus of my work is providing scientifically sound education about sexuality and promoting an open and informed approach to sexual topics. I therefore regularly work with the media to help reduce stigma and taboos surrounding sexuality and to make reliable, evidence-based knowledge accessible to a wider audience.
